When using polishing creams, crystallizer sprays and polishing powders are used in a home. Chemical polishing can easily disperse airborne fine particles, create fumes, and off gas odors that can create potential irritation to the eyes, skin, and lungs.

2. CHEMICAL-FREE  POLISHING METHOD:

Stone Care of Arizona, Arizona's stone care experts is the first in Arizona to offer homeowners "chemical-free" polishing option. In choosing this option, you may not have the high polished finish of number 1, you will have the confidence that your Travertine, Marble, Limestone, and Onyx floors, counters, and showers are refinished without using any harsh polishing chemicals compound in your home.

* Please Note: Stone Care of Arizona does not provide a high shine on honed Marble, honed Travertine and honed Limestone floors. We do not provide a high polished shine on certain stones out of crates or pallets where the Travertine, Marble and Limestone were harvested and processed originally as a honed surface and filled with cementation filler. Honed Marble, Limestone and Travertine will display lots of voids (filler that does not shine) and make the floors appear like it have freckles or dull spots in the light.

HOW DO YOU DECIDE WHICH TYPE OF SHINE YOU WANT?

There are different shines when it comes to polishing Travertine, Marble, Limestone, and Onyx floors, counters, and showers.

There are 3 unique Chemical-Free Polishing finishes to choose from:

1.HONED FINISH

Chemical-Free dull honed finishes are offered for Travertine, Onyx, Marble, and Limestone floors, showers and counters. Chemical-Free dull honed finishes that have little to “no” shine. Stone Care of Arizona, Arizona's stone care floor refinishing expert's polishing steps revolve around certain honing steps that do not involve our using polishing chemicals.

The Process Begins With The Following:

a. The application of a chemical-free cleaning agent on the Travertine, Marble, Limestone, and Onyx floors. The chemical-free product is safe for children and the family inside the home 

b. We safely hone the Travertine, Marble, Limestone, and Onyx floors without using any chemicals. This step helps remove the micro-scratches and surface etching on the Travertine, Marble, Limestone, and Onyx surfaces.   

c. The lower honing grits 120 grits - 400 grits help to realign the crystals to defuse any reflectivity on the stone.

2.SATIN FINISH

Stone Care of Arizona, Arizona's stone care experts use chemical-free polishing for Travertine, Marble, Limestone, Onyx shower, floors, and counters. We polish the surfaces  to a Satin finish. Chemical-Free Satin finishes have a “low sheen” or low luster shine. Satin shines do not have depth and clarity, which means there is "no" reflectivity.

The Process Begins With The Following:

a. We use a chemical-free stone cleaner on the Travertine, Marble, Limestone, and Onyx floors. The chemical-free product is safe for children and the family inside the home 

b. The Travertine, Marble, Limestone, and Onyx floors are safely honed without the use of any chemicals. Honing the floors helps to remove the micro-scratches and surface etching on the Travertine, Marble, Limestone, and Onyx floors.   

c. We use lower & higher diamond polishing grits such as 400 grits to 1500 grits that help polish the crystals on Travertine, Marble, Limestone, and Onyx floors, counters, and showers to "low" reflectivity.

3. SEMI-POLISHED FINISH

Stone Care of Arizona, Arizona's refinishing experts mechanically remove the scratches and surface etching on the Travertine, Marble, Limestone, and Onyx floors. The refinishing higher polishing steps take the shine to the next level. The higher combination of polishing  “higher polishing” diamonds steps 3000 grits - 11,000 grits create a nice medium shine on the Travertine, Marble, Limestone, and Onyx floors, showers and counters.

The Process Begins With The Following:

1.The application of a chemical-free cleaning agent on floors, showers and or counters. The chemical-free product is safe for children and the family inside the home 

2.The chemical-free cleaning agent safely breaks down the soil on Travertine, Marble, Limestone, and Onyx floors, counters, and showers. the surface of the Travertine, Marble, Limestone, and Onyx floors, counters, and showers by dissolving the sticky oils and water-based substances.

3.The process begins with “higher polishing” such as 3000 grits - 11,000 grits  to create up to a medium shine or higher depending on the quality of the Travertine, Marble, Limestone, and Onyx floors, counters, and showers.

4.The polishings method and techniques are 100% green solutions.
